It seems like with the advent of social media and the commercialization of the concept of friendship – we have skewed what and how it means to be a friend.
Who do you consider your friends? Is there a hierarchy of friendship – you know – good friends, ok friends, and/or merely acquaintances?
“I consider you a friend” is a powerful statement.
Living up to the vow of friendship is not always easy. It seems like - and I may be wrong about this - the more friends you have – the less of a friend you can be to each one. Is the capacity for friendship is relatively “finite”? Are you skeptical of those with lots of friends?
Or are those with lots of friends because they exhibit what a friend should be?
Thank you,
